How Does It Work?
Smooth threads are non-surgical polydioxanone (PDO) threads that can be used virtually anywhere on the face or body! Thinner than hair and made of protein, the threads are inserted below the skin to produce a micro injury in the skin that the body responds to by adding structural proteins (such as fibrin, elastin, collagen), resulting in a smoother, plumper appearance. These proteins, such as collagen, are produced at slower rates as we age, making this the optimal anti-aging and anti-wrinkle procedure!

What Results Can I Expect?
Smooth threads are a preventative treatment. Results are not immediate as it takes time for the suture to dissolve and your bodies healing mechanism to work while results won’t be immediate. Improvement will come as the thread dissolves and the body lays down new collagen, elastin, and fibrin! It takes about four weeks to see the first results, with peak results at four to six months. Like Botox, smooth threads can be performed every three to four months and can be a great option for certain areas where Botox is not an option, such as cheeks.
