Liposuction Before & After Case 287

This patient in her 40’s from Austin, Texas came to see our doctor at the Round Rock, Texas office location to discuss liposuction of upper arms. She had difficulty fitting clothing and didn’t like the way she looked in short sleeve shirts.

During her consultation with our doctor she learned about how liposuction can be used to contour the body and give her a shape she really wanted in her arm area. She was an excellent candidate since she was at her goal weight and her skin had few signs of aging which can prevent skin contraction (eg. Lots of stretch marks). Her fat deposits where very discrete and the areas that needed improvement where easily seen.

Our doctor performed her liposuction in the safety of a hospital operating room. For her comfort she went to sleep for about an hour with the help of an anesthesiologist. She felt no pain and was completely unaware of the surgery during this time. Our doctor carefully removed the excess fat on her outer thighs using ultrasonic VASER® Liposuction. He then contoured the surrounding areas so her result looked natural and beautiful. She required two small incisions that where each much smaller than the width of a finger nail.

Her recovery was quick and easy. She wore compression shorts for 3 weeks to make sure all the fluid that accumulates from surgery went away quickly. Within a few days she was back to her regular activities and she had no restrictions at about a month. These photos show her results at only 6 weeks after surgery – and they have been dramatic. The contour of her arms is much better and she fits clothing much better and is ready for summer!
