Liposuction Before & After Case 52

This patient in her early 20’s from Austin, Texas came to see our doctors at our Round Rock, Texas office location to discuss liposuction of her outer thighs (commonly referred to as the trochanter area in doctor talk). She was very thin otherwise, and felt the extra weight she carried on her outer thighs really didn’t reflect the rest of her body shape. She had difficulty fitting clothing and didn’t like the way she looked in bathing suits.

During her consultation with our doctor she learned about how liposuction can be used to contour the body and give her a shape she really wanted in her legs. She was an excellent candidate since she was at her goal weight and her skin had few signs of aging which can prevent skin contraction (eg. Lots of stretch marks). Her fat deposits where very discrete and the areas that needed improvement where easily seen.

The doctor performed her liposuction in the safety of a hospital operating room. For her comfort she went to sleep for about an hour with the help of an anesthesiologist. She felt no pain and was completely unaware of the surgery during this time. Our doctor carefully removed the excess fat on her outer thighs using ultrasonic VASER® Liposuction. He then contoured the surrounding areas so her result looked natural and beautiful. She required four small incisions that where each much smaller than the width of a finger nail.

Her recovery was quick and easy. She wore compression shorts for 6 weeks to make sure all the fluid that accumulates from surgery went away quickly. Within a few days she was back to her regular activities and she had no restrictions at about a month. These photos show her results at only 6 weeks after surgery – and they have been dramatic. The contour of her legs is much better and she fits clothing much better and is ready for swimsuit season!
