This 45-year-old female was referred to our doctors from her general surgeon to discuss breast reconstruction options. She had a left sided breast cancer that was going to require some additional skin excision than what is normally required for a mastectomy.

She decided to have a bilateral mastectomy. Sometimes having a bilateral surgery can help create the most symmetric result but this is always an individual patient decision. Our doctors spent a significant amount of time talking with the patient and helping her to understand her options.

These pictures show her after several surgeries to complete a full reconstruction. This includes her expander placement, exchange to implants, nipple reconstruction, and fat grafting. The fat her harvested for her fat grafting sessions has the benefit of giving the same results as liposuction to the areas we take it from which she was happy about.
