Reconstruction - Breast Cancer Before & After Case 240

This 55-year-old female found our doctors after being referred by her general surgeon. She was interested in discussing reconstruction after a mastectomy and what options where available for her.

Because her cancer was small and located a large distance from her nipple a nipple sparing mastectomy and breast reconstruction was possible. This allows the patient to keep their own nipple and step the nipple reconstruction step. This method is only suitable for the right patients with a favorable breast shape (C cup or smaller) and tumor size and position.
