This 48-year-old female was referred to our doctors from her general surgeon to discuss breast reconstruction options after mastectomy.

She underwent a bilateral mastectomy with immediate breast reconstruction using tissue expanders after discussing her options with our doctor in detail. This is the most common type of breast reconstruction performed in the United States.

Her first surgery was combined with the mastectomy. Our doctor admitted to the hospital overnight. Her subsequent operations included implant placement, nipple reconstruction, and fat grafting (used to camouflage the implant and make are more natural result, also give the same result as liposuction to the areas we take the fat from).
