This 48-year-old female came to see our doctors wanting to rejuvenate her abdomen and breasts following pregnancy. She is very athletic but was unable to exercise away the extra skin on her lower tummy. During her complimentary consult with our doctors she learned the different options for abdominal rejuvenation. Like many women in the Austin, Texas area this patient wanted to tighten and restore her body to its pre-pregnancy condition.

During her consultation, our doctors pointed out that an abdominoplasty would be able to tighten the skin and muscle on her abdomen. He explained that because she had little fat on her abdomen a small vertical scar would be necessary in addition to the horizontal incision at the level of her underwear line.

In surgery, our doctors were able to remove many of the stretch marks from her lower abdomen and then tightened the muscles underneath back to their pre-pregnancy shape and tone. Our doctor kept her incisions low on her tummy so that she can continue to wear all types of clothing. The small vertical incision is barely noticeable and was a good trade for the improvement in her abdominal contour.

When she returned in follow-up, she was very pleased with her new abdomen and breasts. She felt comfortable enough with her body to start wearing swim suits again, and was really happy that she decided to have her surgery done by Synergy Plastic Surgery.
