Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty) Before & After Case 206

This 48 year-old female came to see our doctors wanting to rejuvenate her eyelids in order to give her more refreshed and youthful appearance. Like many patients in the Austin, Texas and Georgetown, Texas areas, she wanted eyelid surgery to remove the baggy skin from her upper eyelids that gave her a tired and aged appearance.

During her consultation, and was pointed out that blepharoplasty is a common procedure that he performs to improve the appearance of both the upper and lower eyelids. He explained that with time the incisions become barely visible because they are hidden in the eyelid crease. In surgery, extra skin easily removed in about 45 minutes. She did not require general anesthesia, and numbing medicine was used in surgery kept her comfortable for several hours during her initial recovery. Small sutures were placed that absorbed on their own.

When she returned in follow-up, she was delighted with the appearance of her eyes. After a few weeks the swelling was gone and makeup easily camouflaged the small incision sites. This simple operation transformed her eyes, and gave her a new outlook on life.
